Dave really like the look of the sump. Do you have all the dimensions for it by any chance?
Was the skimmer originally in the section on the left?
Is there a need to have the double baffles on either side of the DBS? Is this to stop bubbles or is there any other reasons for it?
Did you run this sump for a time in a tank? How did it work out?

ive got the same tank. look at my thread. my betta 1500,u see how my sump is set up
Monty could you explain the layout of your sump? is the first section on the left or right? I thought it was better to have your skimmer in the first section. Does your flow right to left?

the sump was set up water coming in from left.but i changed it to water coming in both sides and returning at the middle. sump goes refugium/return/skimmer.70% of the water comes in from right/other 30 comes in from left down threw refugium

I wouldn't, but if you pm'ed @stocky I'm sure he would give you all the measurements. The baffles cut down on micro bubbles etc. I had the baffles cut about 6" up with a gap of about an 1" either side to allow water to pass along the top of the DSB:

Looks Great Dave. Did you snails breed in the sump? Are they Astreas (excuse the spelling). I have dropped Stocky a Pm to see if he can help with the sizes. What size of return pump did you use with this setup? I have read that it is better to have a slower flow when using a DSB did you find this?
Cheers
